Spring Training Has Begun!

This time of year is arguably Arizona’s finest weather. Spring Training games also begin. People travel from various parts of the country to watch baseball teams train while we live an embarrassing 5 minutes from our city’s stadium. It’s small, intimate, and reminiscent of what I imagine baseball games of long ago felt like. Several workers at the stadium are retired snowbirds who always sweetly engage with the kiddos.

We received free tickets from our community association and met up with friends for our first game of the season Thursday afternoon. We went right after picking up Ethan from school at noon and the game started at 1pm. They did a great job facing the flag for the National Anthem. It was a gorgeous, breezy 75 degree day. The kids had a blast running around the lawn area and eating an icee slush. We usually try and go once or twice a week. Love this time of year!
