This is our forecast. H-O-T. We went to the museum again yesterday-twice in a week. It’s the best place to be for cool playtime. The pool has been really crowded with a fair amount of obnoxious people so we’ve been doing other things. The boys will have plenty of swimming time this summer in Chicago and Michigan!

They loved playing in the kitchen room yesterday. It was the most time they’ve spent in there and it was so sweet to watch them take their “cooking” so seriously! What a team! It’s funny how they can battle with each other at home-I barely step into the shower and the fighting, screaming, and crying can be heard-but at the museum, they are best buds united. In the treehouse, Ethan gets really protective of Tyler. The older kids try to get past Tyler in the tunnel portions and Ethan stops them from entering until little bro is out. So precious.

(Make sure you turn on the volume control at the bottom of the video frame.)

Ethan pulled out bowls and said “I found spit uppie bowls”. LOLLL

What is not precious? The tantrum-throwing that Tyler is doing-sometimes at home, sometimes in public. Whoa. Ethan didn’t throw himself on the ground or hit me so we are in unchartered territory here. Yesterday at the museum cafe, Tyler wanted a bag of goldfish snacks after we already paid for snack stuff to eat. He threw himself on the ground when he was told no and when I scooped him up, he screamed and started to hit me. Oh heeel no. I was that Mom that everyone quietly stares at. So, we exited the cafe door-poor Ethan was left to eat alone for a bit but I watched him through the door. He was literally 3 feet from me, don’t worry-and I held Tyler against the wall while I laid down the law. He then had to sit against the door on naughty spot. He became super quiet and when he went back in, Tantrum Tyler had vanished. I was totally ready to get back to the car after snacks and get Tyler insulated HAHA. We got to the parking lot and I noticed my (broken) key had fallen off the ring. Fudge. We had to retrace our steps and thankfully it was turned in by a good samaritan. Felt good to head home and not be calling AAA.

Today is a big day-Dentist appointments. For both kiddos. What will I be posting about that?! Wish us luck.

I think Charlie has an ear infection. It smells likes Scouts did when she had infections and he’s been yelping when he scratches at it. Oh, little man…
