In November we applied to a charter school that was our top choice for Ethan’s schooling. It is a K-12th grade program with seperate campuses for early, middle, and high school. John and I fell in love with the curriculum and teaching philosophy. There are campuses all over the valley but we applied to the two closest locations. 6,000 students are accepted citywide and 10,000 go on the wait list. The lottery for acceptance took place at the end of January and we received word that Ethan was accepted into their Kindergarten! We are so excited for him! He was up coughing all night early this week so I kept him home the next day. The boys and I went to his new school to deliver the paperwork. He was curious to take a look at his new school. He was interested in their uniforms as all kids wear special uniforms with a custom school emblem on them. I can’t believe he will be in Kindergarten!!!! I’m sure I’ll cry but it’ll be easier sending him to a school that was our top pick!!!!!
