Dewey Lake!

We headed to the lake on June 29th. It was a chilly and rainy few days but in between the rain, we took lots of boat rides, went to a couple farms, and saw the Monsters U movie. When the sun broke out, we played in the sand and took a few dips in the lake. We took the boys out on the kayaks and paddle boat. The swan family was visible on every boat ride around the lake and also the resident blue huron with it’s awesome wing span came around a few times. Each morning John would grab coffee at the local cafe and take one or both boys for a doughnut. He also took them to the lake channel where they looked for frogs and turtles. The perfect boy activity! Later in the week, Uncle Pat, his friend, and Uncle Dan arrived for 4th of July fun. The weather was gorgeous! We enjoyed the lake during the day and then watched fireworks going off all around the lake. John also put on his own pyrotechnics show with some fireworks he and Ethan picked out at a fireworks depot on the way to the lake. The boys were so pooped they ended up falling asleep outside during the fireworks! The puppies had a great time too and on the last day, Sky ended up chasing a gaggle of geese off the shore and into the water!! It was a great week with family and friends!!!
