All Good Things Must Come To An End…

As John titled it, “our summer extravaganza” has come to an end.  It was one to remember! The grand finale was Ethan’s birthday pool party with family and friends. We appreciate everyone’s generosity. Ethan scored some great superhero presents!

We made the trip home and thanks to Susie, several boxes had to ship many of our belongings back home! Our family was so good to us and the boys. Thanks to John’s parents for housing us throughout the stay! The cousins had such fun playing together nearly every day. We miss everyone. Ethan keeps asking when we are going back to Chicago and Tyler just keeps repeating everyone’s names! It’s sort of pitiful.

But, we are back in the swing of things back home-Ethan started his second year of preschool and was happy to reunite with his best school pal, Tate. Tyler loves having park/play time to himself for the mornings. The boys readjusted to bedtime in their own rooms without trouble, which has been awesome! I was afraid they would want us to sleep with them like we did in Chicago! Granted, they both end up in our room in the wee hours of the morning. I swear we need a california king bed!
